"I'm not sure." meowed Maplepaw. "The other two leaders have to go up on their stones too." Lightningpaw just shrugged. "It is almost moonhigh. They should get started soon."

"Indeed." Swiftpaw agreed. She turned her head back to the four tall stones.

((SORRY)) RiverStar looked at the moon and leaped to the MoonClan stone. He looked at the other two leaders on the stones. "Ready?" Without waiting for an answer, he called, "Cats of the forest, gather!"
Heronwing heard RiverStar call, and he jumped up from where he was talking to a dappled tom and walked over to a spot in between the EmberClan and LeafClan stones.

DawnStar sniffed at RiverStar, but nodded that she was ready. "You can go first, once everyone's gathered." she meowed to him.

((Hey hey riverstar, i think you meant RainClan stone))
BrightStar took a running leap and scrambled awkwardly onto the MoonClan stone. She glared at the cats who looked at her, trying to make sure she didn't look embarressed. She settled into her hollow on the rock and looked expectantly at RiverStar.

((SORRY EVERYBODY)) Robinfur spotted Grayfoot walking near to where he was sitting, so he went up and over to where she was, wondering where the other medicine cats were. "At least they're finally starting." he meowed quietly in the white she-cat's ear.

Spotbird walked over to Grayfoot and Robinfur. He settled down in the soft grass and waited for the leaders to start talking. He heard Robinfur mutter something to Grayfoot and mewed. "Yes," even though he knew he wasn't talking to him. He spotted his apprentice Swiftpaw sitting with a few other apprentices from the other clans. He couldn't see Nighteyes, Robinfur's apprentice though. It was hard to make out any specific cats in the glare of the rising full moon.

RiverStar waited for everyone to gather around the stones before he began. "All is well with RiverClan. Newleaf has brought more prey." he sideglanced the other leaders. "Not that we ever really run out though, because of the river." "Twolegs have moved into the Greenleaf Twoleg Nest, but they will probably be gone again in two moons, like always." he looked directly at BrightStar. "They've been fishing in the river near our border, so I'd advise MoonClan to be aware." He stepped back, not really caring if BrightStar took his advise or not, and sat in his dip in the rock.

WhiskerStar growled in her throat at RiverStar's comment about the river. EmberClan fished out of the stream during leafbare, but only a few cats knew how, or for that matter wanted to. It wasn't a lot of fish, but it kept them from starving. As for the twolegs, EmberClan was the farthest away from any twoleg dangers. LeafClan had the thunderpath, RainClan had the thunderpath, and both RainClan and MoonClan had the greenleaf nest. All her clan had was the twoleg farm, which posed no threat unless you tred underneath an animal. She looked to BrightStar, who she expected to be sharing next.
"What a bragger," muttered Lightningpaw to the apprentices around him. Maplepaw knew he didn't care if RainClan cats heard. She knew he didn't care what any other cats thought about him. He was still glancing at the MoonClan apprentice every so often, but Maplepaw flicked him across the ear every time.
"Shh." murmured Hollypaw. "I want to hear what BrightStar has to say." She had always had an interest in the young leader. They had become as close to a friend as BrightStar would allow during the sickness.
Firepoppy listened intently to the leaders speak. She was always interested in what happened in the other clans. Her old mentor had told her that that was why she learned quicker than the other apprentices when she had been one. She shook her head to clear her thoughts and watched the other leader's reactions to RiverStar's comments.
Lightningpaw felt Maplepaw's tail flick his ear again as he stole another glance at the MoonClan cat. He decided to stop before she used her claws to whack his ear. He bristled at RiverStar's aroggance. His clan bordered with the river too, but that didn't make his clan any more special than the other clans. Though of course it is. he thought to himself, tuning in to the leaders again.

Stormface rested at the base of the RainClan stone, listening to his leader speak. RiverStar was a good friend and leader, but he could be a bit snooty sometimes. Although so could all the other leaders, especially the youngest one, BrightStar. ((SORRY BRIGHTSTAR(

((THATS OK<3))
BrightStar gave a curt nod to RiverStar and stepped forward. "Thank you, RiverStar, but we were already aware of the twolegs. We do check our borders you know." she growled. Then she addressed everyone. "MoonClan is strong also. We had a few colds and coughs, but our medicine cats took care of them quickly." she glanced at Spotbird and Swiftpaw before continuing, "But the sicknesses have not weakened us at all." she glared around the hollow. "Besides that, since Silverpaw's mentor Frostpelt died, she is now my apprentice." she stepped back and nodded to WhiskerStar stiffly.

WhiskerStar returned the nod and stepped up to the front of her stone. "EmberClan is doing well also. The prey is coming back very quickly, we have renewed our medicine stores, and we have two new warriors; Gingerstorm and Honeypebble. They sat their vigil two nights ago. Other than that there is no news." She sat down and waited for DawnStar to share LeafClan's news.
Firepoppy thought that the other leader's reactions to RiverStar had been no surprise, but her leader, DawnStar, was quiet except for her snort. Firepoppy had thought she would rip his fur off! Firepoppy supposed that DawnStar probably just wanted to end the Gathering, and check back on home...
Hollypaw listened to her leader talk, and to BrightStar talk. She turned to the others. "I hope it ends soon. I'm tired." Maplepaw just gave a slow nod without looking down from the leaders, and Lightningpaw gave a yawn to prove Hollypaw's point.
((I just made up the two warriors.))

Rosepaw was having a hard time keeping still. Her first Gathering! She was happy there was no fighting or anything like that, but it would have made it even more exciting! She had met so many cats, and she got to listen to the leaders of all the clans talk! She heard someone growl near her, and she stopped her fidgetting to just a flicking tail and listened closer to the leaders.

DawnStar faced the gathered cats. "LeafClan is doing well also. Our apprentices are doing very well in their training, and hopefully by the end of Newleaf we will have new warriors." she paused and looked at her clan's apprentices gathered in the clearing. Shes shuffled her feet and mewed, "But we have been having some skirmishes with the rogues. A few attacked a patrol the other day, and that wasn't the first time." she felt very uncomfortable revealing this to the other clans. "But we are no weaker. They are getting stronger, though, with Ice as their 'leader'. They have started to train each other how to fight. That's all we have to report though." ((I WAS JUST GOING OUT ON A LIMB WITH THIS. BASED ON PLOT NUMERO TWO ))
