Story: SkyStar and Frostpelt sat at the front of the group of StarClan cats. Former leaders and deputies sat around them in the rocky hollow. They stared down at the pool being poured into by a short waterfall.
MoonStar was sitting next to EmberStar, LeafStar, and RainStar by the edge of the waterfall, in a tussock of grass. He stepped forward and leaped onto a boulder near the edge of the pool.
"Cats of StarClan!" he called. The chatter in the clearing died down. "We need to fix the problem that has arrived. We started it, and we need to end it, before they come."
SkyStar stood up. "Yes. We have angered the Tribe of Endless Hunting, and now the Tribe of Fallen Stones are coming to fight us."
DappledStar, a former RainClan leader called out, "We should go and talk to them. There's been enough bloodshed. This was our fault. We can't let our clans be killed over a war we started."
Frostpelt looked at her, "DappleStar, you are right. But, what if the Tribe of Fallen Stones decide not to listen to their ancestors? We must send cats of the clans to talk."
MoonStar curled his lip. "I'm not sending the leaders to face a whole tribe of cats."
"It doesn't have to be the leaders," SkyStar pointed out, "We can send warriors."
"They would have to be very strong ones, SkyStar." LeafStar pointed out gravely.
"Yes," meowed Frostpelt, "But they are warriors. They can handle anything."
"True." muttered MoonStar. "We should pick out the warriors. Two from each clan." he added.
SkyStar shook his head. "That is too much. Only one; we do not need the Tribe to think we are sending a fighting force."
MoonStar grumbled something inaudible.
"Then it is settled." mewed EmberStar. "We shall send one cat from each clan to talk to the Tribe of Fallen Stones."
SkyStar took a lap of water from the Moon Fall, and meowed, "I shall pick for MoonClan."
"Then I will pick for LeafClan." announced GorgeStar , the former leader of LeafClan hautily.
SkyStar dipped his head. "Then why don't PointedStar and FawnStar pick for RainClan and EmberClan?"
The two former leaders of those clans nodded.
GorgeStar stepped forward and stared into the pool. A dark shape began to appear on the pool.
"Darkclaw?" meowed MoonStar in disbelief.
GorgeStar swung her head around. "Yes." she snapped.
"I think Darkclaw is a good idea. He needs to learn confidence, and he wants to prove himself loyal." mewed Frostpelt calmly.
GorgeStar nodded awkwardly, and stepped back as PointedStar came next to the pool. Every shining cat strained to see who it was.
"Willowsight." SkyStar told everyone and walked up to the pool. "I chose Windfur."
Frostpelt and MoonStar nodded, "Good." sniffed MoonStar.
Finally FawnStar stepped forward and stared into the pool for a long time. MoonStar sighed with relief as a shape finally began to appear.
"I chose Amberspot of EmberClan." she announced.
"Okay. That's good." meowed SkyStar.
"Now you four tell them." MoonStar told them, and walked through the ranks of StarClan and up the rocky hills, out of sight.
"Good choice," Frostpelt whispered to SkyStar.
The large white tom nodded, and the two walked up the hill into the stars, their fur turning silver in the moonlight.
